Terms of use

Effective: October 26, 2026
Provider: Edmond Davis, an individual developer (sole proprietor), okaybird.app · support@okaybird.app

1. What Okaybird is

Okaybird is a personal safety check-in app for iPhone and Android. You start a timer, check in when you're safe, and if you don't, or if you tap SOS, Okaybird prepares an alert for up to 3 emergency contacts you choose. By default you send the alert yourself from your Messages or Mail app. Optional automatic alerts text your contacts for you through Okaybird's server and its SMS provider, Twilio.

2. Not an emergency service

Okaybird does not contact 911, the police or any emergency service. It can't guarantee that an alert is created, sent, delivered or read on time: phones, batteries, signal, permissions, carriers and servers can all fail. Don't rely on Okaybird as your only safety measure. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.

3. Your responsibilities

4. SMS program terms (automatic alerts)

5. Privacy

How Okaybird handles information is described in the privacy policy. We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data and consent with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. The app is provided as is

Okaybird is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Edmond Davis is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for harm resulting from an alert that was not sent, delayed or not delivered. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that can't be waived.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these terms when the app changes and will post the new version here with its date. Questions: support@okaybird.app. App Store users: Apple's standard end-user license agreement also applies.
